Mohanad is an academic, political journalist and journalism trainer. He has a PhD and Msc. in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. As a media instructor, Mohanad has specialised in delivering editorial, Data and Social Media Marketing workshops. His Arabic and English proficiency allowed him to accumulate a professional experience in both Middle Eastern and Western media outlets. Mohanad worked for al-Hayat pan Arabic newspaper while freelancing for news outlets including the Guardian, the Washington Post, CNN and NBC. His journalism work has been quoted and referenced in many books including Walter Isaacson's Steve Jobs biography, and Peter Bergen's "The Osama Bin Laden I know".
