  • Sany Abdul Baki has worked as an actor in London and Beirut and has performed in theatre festivals in NYC, Brighton, Damascus, Cairo, and Beirut. Throughout his learning and working experience, he has collaborated with students & professionals from a wide range of fields and specialties, and he has trained in a variety of acting methods, such as Shakespeare, Chekhov, Laban & Malmgren’s Character Analysis & Movement Psychology, Greek chorus, Meisner, Commedia dell Arte, clowning, neutral mask, and others. Sany has also given Forum Theatre workshops on Nonviolent & Civic Education in Amman, Jordan. His most recent stage appearances were in: Ab: Beit Byout (Lebanese adaptation of August: Osage County), The Dictator, The Rape, Watch Your Step, and Rituals of Signs & Transformations. He has recently co-founded the Beirut-based theater company Tahweel Ensemble Theatre, which launched in NYC at Between the Seas Festival with the English world premiere of Issam Mahfouz’s The Dictator and in Beirut with Ab: Beit Byout.
