Sarah Kaskas is an award winning filmmaker, sound recordist and music composer. Born in America, she traveled around the Middle East before returning to her native country of Lebanon at the age of 14. Having experienced both worlds, Sarah’s films center around themes of identity using dynamic imagery and sounds.
Sarah received her MFA in Cinematic Arts: Directing and Sound at the Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts in 2011. During this time, Sarah wrote and directed five short films. Her thesis film, “Fugue (2011)” toured several international film festivals before being broadcasted on BBC Arabic’s “Alternative Cinema”.
