Vatche Kalforian began his musical studies at a very young age. He pursued his studies in composition at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory (Armenia), class of renowned composer Edward Mirzoyan. Graduated in 1989. Currently he works as an educator and freelance composer. Vatche’s music covers a wide spectrum, including concert music and music for film, Television and stage. His concert music output is diverse, from large-­‐scale compositions such as “The Three Voice Mass” for grand symphony orchestra, choir, soloists and narrators to miniature pieces like the “Five Expromts” for piano.
