An interactive workshop focused on mind/body/voice work that culminates in a group song. All participants will learn basic anatomy required for singing, known as Vocal Pedagogy. All participants will engage in body awareness, starting from the diaphragm, and learning the proper way to breathe, engaging in maximum air-flow.
Touching on Alexander Technique, we will discuss proper alignment and voice production. Participants will learn a simple song that will be sung together, implementing methods taught in class.
Participants will work in pairs being a physical mirror for their partners, and helping them bring forward emotions of the piece.
Using the Wesley Balk Method of Acting and Positive Reinforcement, participants will bring forth emotions in the new piece, using mimed gestures, creating a truly unique song experience.
